CB & Social Distancing

Updated: Jun 1, 2020

Recently updated on the 1st June 2020

Any changes in regards to COVID 19 and CB will be updated on this blog post to avoid any confusion with multiple posts; also Check our social media Facebook and Instagram.

After the latest update on the Coronavirus by the Prime Minister it is looking like we can reopen for appointments from the 15th June please note this could change as the government review every three weeks. The video above explains how we will be reopening Chantilly Bloom after lockdown, fittings can't start to take place until the 4th July 2020 this could change.

Fittings & Consultations

Fittings and consultations are going to have restrictions in place going forward at Chantilly Bloom. We are asking that people come alone to fittings and consultations this will help with social distancing in our studio as we are restricted in regards of space for fittings. We would like to reassure all our CB girls that we are doing everything we possibly can during COVID 19. I am wearing a mask and gloves during the process of making every dress the gloves are changed once I've finished working on each garment I have always had a really good routine of washing my hands during the working day as I have always been conscious of marks being made on fabrics so continually washing my hands is part of the daily routine in CB. I am continually cleaning my workspace, worktops, sewing machines, door handles. After every client I will be cleaning essential areas including door handles, fitting room, consultation areas and having windows open to help keep the air in the room fresh. Each dress is hung on the rail in a plastic dress bag during the process of getting a dress made.

Prom Fittings (this will apply for any fittings for customers under the age of 18)

We have limited space inside the studio only one person from the same household can come with the CB girl and they will be restricted to having to stay in our seating area through the duration of the fitting. I will step back at the end of the fitting to allow the parent/guardian to move closer and get a better look. If any help is needed to getting into the dress we're asking that the parent/guardian be the one to do so. I will be only be taking fitting appointments on a saturday or late night on a weekday this is when my office building is at its quietest. I will be adjusting my opening hours to help accommodate this during this period; this is the best way to practise social distancing. When entering the studio I will be asking all customers to use our hand sanitiser, disposable Masks and gloves will also be provided. These will need to be worn during all fittings for aslong as social distancing is required.

To reduce the number of fittings I have posted a video of how to take your own measurements this can be found at the end of this post and across our social media. Please follow the instructions carefully on how to do this as the measurements need to be accurate. I will be doing all my first fittings through the adjustable mannequins. An adjustable mannequin means that I can put your bust, waist and hips measurements in to create your body shape. This process will help reduce face to face contact as I can fit the front of the dress accordingly, tweaks can be made when fittings commence in June. Please make sure you take your measurements with the correct bra that you'll be wearing when you wear your dress and wear a vest top. You need to have your shoes/heels that you'll be wearing with your dress when you come for a fitting when these commence in June.

Entering/Exiting the building

To reduce people waiting in the reception area I will be asking that people try their best to arrive on time and no more than 5 minutes early. I will be asking for all CB girls to wait outside where possible and to ring our number 0151 203 0266 upon arrival. I will no longer booking appointments back to back to allow the amount of people passing through the building to be reduced. I will be working at putting a one way system in place before the doors open to CB from the 15th June 2020.

If you have any questions or would like to book in a virtual appointment for assistance in measurements email us at, contact us via social media or give us a call on 0151 203 0266. Calls are being diverted to our mobile during this period if we aren't in the office.
