PROM 2021

Updated: Mar 4, 2021

Prom is the celebration at the end of school that every Year 11 student looks forward too including us here at CB we LOVE every part of prom season. Nothing beats seeing our CB girls faces at their final dress fitting they never seem to want to take their dresses off and I think thats the biggest compliment!

There is so much uncertainty this year with us currently being in another lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, many are wondering if they will have a prom this summer. No matter what your prom looks like we're keeping everything crossed that if it's safe to do so they will take place this summer but if its postponed until later in the year or if you decide to have an at home celebration with your nearest and dearest we are still here for you!

We are offering virtual consultations via Zoom this is an opportunity for you to have a chat with us about the style of dress you're thinking of having. We will sketch through some ideas, show you some fabrics, laces, embellishments, trimmings we can talk through it all! We can drop off some sketches and samples for you to look at for 48 hours if you'd like a closer look at some of the fabrics. A £20 non refundable deposit is needed to secure your bespoke order. It would be really helpful when enquiring if you could give us an indication on colour so we can make sure we have the best sample options available to show you!

Do I need to pay for my dress upfront?

No, a £20 non refundable deposit is needed to secure your order.

Half of the balance is due before we order the fabric and the outstanding balance is due when you collect your dress once its complete.

Where do appointments take place?

All consultations and fittings take place from our fashion studio at 7 Chapel Court, CH2 4BT. Consultations during lockdown are also taking place via Zoom.

FITTINGS - What should I expect?

When it's time for us to order your fabric half of the balance will be now due, we cannot order any fabric until this has been paid.

It is really important that for your first fitting you wear the bra you intend to wear for prom to ensure the best fit possible. When you arrive for your first fitting do not panic your dress will look like a complete shell it's really important that we focus on the fit. If you have any lace/sequins/appliques/trimmings these will not be seen at this point. At this fitting we will discuss and pin necklines to how you'd like them, lift or lower waistbands to your preference its really important that you let us know of any tweaks you're considering at this point as its much easier to change now.

At your second fitting your dress looks completely different and much more like the dress your envisioned. You will need your prom shoes for this appointment so your length can be pinned without these more fittings will be required.

All Fittings and Alterations are included in the price given when placing the order up to the final fitting when your prom dress is complete. The final balance is due on collection of your bespoke prom dress once completed.

With so many postponements of events in 2020 postponements including prom 2020, 2021 is looking like a much busier year our diaries are filling up FAST!
